Growing up, my mother called me Roo—a nickname that stuck long after childhood nicknames are supposed to fade, becoming a quiet piece of my identity.
My love for penguins grew alongside it-documentaries, sanctuary visits, an every-growing shelf of penguin trinkets from friends who knew exactly what to gift me. Somewhere along the way, "Roo" and "penguin" fused together, and Penguroo was born-not as a business plan, but as a name that finally fit.
That personal collection became a mission: to build the store I always wished existed. One place, north of the equator, where fellow penguin lovers could find gifts that are genuinely curated--chosen for quality and charm, not just because they had a penguin on them. Today, every product on Penguroo is picked with that same care, because somewhere out there, another Roo is looking for exactly this.
